Donate to Sparks of Calliope

We appreciate your donations to keep this site free of advertising.

Sparks of Calliope appreciates your donations, which will be used exclusively to cover operations costs. We are not a non-profit and are beholden to neither advertisers nor corporate sponsors.

Established on July 1, 2019, we publish about 10 talented poets per month (one every three days). After a 15.5-month hiatus from May 15, 2025 – August 31, 2026, we resumed a normal publishing schedule on September 1, 2026. We believe in providing this labor of love free of reading and subscription fees and unsightly advertising. We welcome your support. Donations have no effect on the editorial process–we value you as a reader whether or not your work is ever selected for our publication.

Books by Our Contributors

Poets previously published in Sparks of Calliope may now add their poetry collection to our contributor publications directory. Each listing will include the book’s cover, publication information, and a link through which readers may purchase the book.

This opportunity is available exclusively to past and present Sparks of Calliope contributors. A one-time directory fee of $10 is required for each book listed. All proceeds support the maintenance and promotion of the journal, allowing Sparks of Calliope to remain free of unrelated commercial advertising.

  • Each $10 fee covers one poetry book.
  • Contributors may purchase listings for multiple books.
  • Listings will be organized by year published (most recent first), then by last name of author.
  • Listings remain indefinitely unless the contributor requests removal, the purchase link becomes permanently inactive, or the listing violates directory policies.
  • Correcting a link, cover, publisher, or minor bibliographic detail is free.
  • Replacing the listed book with a different title requires a new fee.
  • Payment purchases directory placement only—not a review, editorial endorsement, social-media promotion, or preferential consideration of future submissions.
